Notre Dame remains on fire on the recruiting trail after landing a commitment from Savannah (Ga.) Benedictine Military School wide receiver Bubba Frazier. The 5-10, 175-pound dynamic athlete picks the Irish over Georgia, Georgia Tech and Wisconsin among others. Notre Dame also got back on the board on offense, picking up their first skill player commitment on that side of the ball since landing quarterback Noah Grubbs in June.
The Fighting Irish staff offered Frazier soon after the change in the recruiting office, with Frazier getting his offer on February 21st. From that moment on, wide receivers coach Mike Brown and the Irish staff made Frazier a priority target. He visited campus for the first time on April 4th and just 10 days later he is now committed to Notre Dame.

Frazier is a dynamic all-around talent that makes plays in a number of ways. As a junior, the Benedictine standout caught 46 passes for 753 yards (16.4 YPC) and five touchdowns. He added 604 rushing yards (7.1 YPC) and eight more touchdowns, and he averaged 12.3 yards on his 14 punt returns. His 1,357 yards of offense and 13 touchdowns on 131 touches shows that Frazier is not only productive, but he can handle a bigger workload as well.
That production wasn't anything new, as Frazier caught 53 passes for 753 yards (14.2 YPC) and four touchdowns as a sophomore to go with 316 rushing yards, three rushing touchdowns and he also returned an interception for a touchdown.
Frazier earned a 4.0-star Top 250 grade on the Irish Breakdown board but he has the upside of a Top 100 prospect. It's his combination of speed, playmaking ability and versatility that earns him such high marks. If he can prove that his size isn't going to be an issue then he'll outperform the current ranking. His game very much reminds me of former North Carolina star Josh Downs, another North Carolina native. Downs had back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons for the Tar Heels (2021 and 2022) despite being just 5-9 and 171 pounds. That's the kind of potential that Frazier adds to the Irish offense.
The Benedictine standout is also ranked as a four-star recruit and the No. 253 overall player in the country by ESPN. Rivals also ranks him as a four-star recruit. Frazier earned scholarship offers from Georgia, Auburn, Arkansas, North Carolina, Georgia Tech, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Virginia, Cincinnati, UCF and Memphis.
